Animal Welfare

More than 80% of our plants, mammals, reptiles and frogs are unique to Australia and are found nowhere else in the world.

Animal Welfare organisation RSPCA received almost 54,000 complaints in the 2021/2022 financial year. The top complaints related to cruelty and abandonment.

Other than the larger charities that help animals in need, there are a number of smaller shelters that operate around Australia that don’t receive the same support. SavourLife is a Social Enterprise that donates 50% of their profits to  support these smaller shelters. They also launched the Adopt-A-Dog platform enabling Australians to adopt a dog from over 244 rescues by these shelters.

Goods 4 Good is on a mission to find Social Enterprises who support the many organisations that take care of the diverse range of animals in Australia, so that you can be part of the movement. When you buy from a Social Enterprise that supports this issue, you are also taking positive action towards supporting animal welfare in Australia.

Not everyone has the time to search for these amazing companies. We at Goods 4 Good have reviewed these companies to ensure they are delivering great products that are kind to the planet and its people. Shop here, with confidence for products curated by Goods 4 Good that support Animal Welfare.

Two notable organisations to explore in the animal welfare space include:

Australian Wildlife AWC owns, manages or works in partnership on more land than any other non-government conservation organisation in Australia. They look after over 6.5 million hectares (16.1 million acres).
