Description
Suicide is the biggest killer of people under 42 in Australia. Access to Mental Health resources is vital to combat this. Miks Chai founder, Mikhara Ramsing (aka Miks), experienced this first hand, especially as a queer woman of colour growing up in a rural community. Miks found that sharing her story was a huge positive step for her mental health and enabled her to see herself, find representation and a supportive community. And so Miks Chai was born.
The idea is simple. They make delicious chai for you to share. They believe that sharing stories around a hot (or ice cold) cuppa chai provides a safe space to talk about what matters the most. They use the best Australian ingredients and made over 1000 cups of tea to find the ultimate recipe. They also donate 50% of their profits to suicide prevention. Have a cuppa and help a mate with chai for mental health.
